"It's an after-living"

Films: Fido (2006)

Alias: Various, notably Fido

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: We've seen what happens when society tries to make the most out of a zombie outbreak without actually killing the zombies, but not to this extent. For the undead, apparently there is happiness in slavery. Because that's technically what it is.

History: At some point in the 50s, space radiation resulted in the undead coming out to start the Zombie Wars, which thankfully ended with humanity coming out on top. In order to stop further undead from attacking people, the megacorp Zomcom made special collars to keep the zombies from killing people, and even have them perform menial labor tasks. One zombie, Fido, ends up having his collar malfunction, and he causes a mini-outbreak in the small neighborhood. His kid friend wants to save him from persecution, hijinks ensue.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: In the end, Fido kills the greedy CEO of Zomcom, and is allowed to live when the whole thing is covered up as a redneck strike. Life and unlife continues as normal.

Powers/Abilities: A bite converts others into zombies.

Weakness: Only through cremation and/or decapitation can a person not risk becoming a zombie after death. Also, head shots.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-A bunch of decaying corpses are everywhere. What do you do? Run and scream in terror, or make them glorified housekeepers? The latter option is amusing, at least, and it makes the hideous undead rather endearing.

Trivia: -Fido's actor, Bill Connolly, chose this role due to the challenge of making a character compelling without any dialogue.

-That said, he did NOT appreciate having to shave his beard off for the role, claiming that a part of his identity went away with it.

Really, the only good dead stays dead. For the sake of both.

There is...quite a lot wrong with this pic.
At least they're honest about this Hell reality.

Why couldn't he be a...non-zombie or something? A ghoul, perhaps?

A very rotting part of the family.

Uh...you haven't lost that youthful glow?
Perfectly normal, eh?

"Somebody please aim for my head."
